Our Programs - Rehabilitation Centers

Our two community rehabilitation centers offer unique socialization activities and rehabilitation services. Members can identify personal goals, join in community living skills groups, utilize computer learning centers, participate in art and recreation therapy activities, and experience vocational assessment and paid work training services, including a community garden and a paid newspaper recycling workshop.

These rehab centers foster an environment of acceptance and mutual support, where members find friends and caring staff to assist them in their quest to accomplish self-responsibility.

The majority of the funding for these rehabilitation centers comes from the Ventura County Behavioral Health Department.

Mike's Story Diagnosed with schizophrenia at 21, Mike spent two decades battling illness and homelessness. He credits his participation in Turning Point's rehab center for his current independence, including a steady job, a car, and his own apartment. The center's staff helped him believe his could achieve his goals, and he now helps other members on their paths to independence.
